Hey guys,

I have 3 good ROM102 Rev 103...ALL with good ATR's - as read in NagEdit
I have a white Nexus flashed with NEWD13.
I am Using ROM102_ND13....script.
Have adjusted ohms from 50-750, stopping approx. every 50 or so.
Have also adjusted voltage from 7.5 - 12

All I ever get is a Bad CMD04 response.....all the time no matter what I try.

Does anyone have any ideas?

u need RebelSerf 102 OmniUnlocker

I tried that also, at times I get rst28 or rst 29, then the script aborts, gives me some errors in red or tells me my card is looped. I then check my card in Nagra and it is fine.

What resistance is the best for 102_r103? Is it around 70, 200, or 700. I have seen people say they luck on all the above?

Should I buy another unlocker?

On the rev 103 and 105 I have had success with Nagramaster 2 loader version with default settings. Keep your resistance setting above 200 ohms. Lower than that and you run the risk of looping your cam.

BTW have you modded your unlocker with the 5817 diode?

Did you clean the contacts on the card with a white eraser? I always do that. Com port settings in windows configuration. Winexplorer config settings. I use loader 2 or 3. If three cards are doing the same thing, then I am thinking some sort of a hardware conection issue. Try a different serial cable, try a different computer. How about a different unlocker? Try and narrow it down to the culprit.

Contacts are clean - I have cleaned them.

I have tried 3 different cards, two computers, 3 scripts. Tonight I will try NagraMaster.

When I flashed the unlocker I followed milli's instructions as can be found here: http://www.bellexpress.vu/glitch.html.

I am using the "Loader2" settings in WinExp. I think that it all comes down to the resistance setting. What I am reading is that each card/computer/unlocker has a "sweet spot" setting - is that a correct assumption?

My question is, what is the tolerance of the sweetspot. Where do I start? Do I have to start at, say 100 ohms, and increment in 50,40,30,10, 5? How do I know I am getting clos? Can someone that has unlocked a 102_r103 using a White Nexus (clear plastic), let me know what resistance they used and the tolerance they found?

I also notice that sometimes when glitching starts, my ohms go apeshit, other times not. I would have thought that the ohms would stay constant?

Anyways, I appreciate the feedback.......thanks!

Mark,

When you check the ohms on your pot on your unlooper you have to check it with no power to the unlooper. So you unplug the power to the unlooper and then hook your ohms meter to the pot legs and put it on ohms. I use a digital meter and just checked mine and its at 18ohms. That's real low, but this unlooper seems to like it low. I'm thinking there's a bad solder connection on your atmel perhaps. I remember the 911's having that problem then you push down on the chip, then it works. I read people fixed them by resoldering the chip.

well my nexus is picky as hek but i find that 250 ohms pops em in 3-20 seconds also i had to get a new pot because the one that was sent with mine was bad it happens

Guys,

Many thanks for the responses. Tomorrow I will purchase a new trim pot resistor. 1K should be OK, correct? I will also resolder the ATMEL, and then re-try.

I will let ya know how I make out.

Thanks again,

Mark

Get a 5k pot. You should start at 2.2kohms/2200ohms and work your way down in increments of say 50ohms.

While you are modding you might as well get you a 1N5817 Schottky diode and do that mod as well.

What are the highest and lowest resistances to try. I have read that too high or too low can loop the card? I have not read of anyone having success with a 102_r103 above 700 ohms or lower that mid 70's. Most people see to be around the 200 ohm range.

2.2 k is highest that you need to go as for lowest whatever works ive seen some as low as 10 ohms depends on loader and computer

i also find the diode mod is just to keep a good 5v from peak to peak instead of sloppy volts
