Activation Using the ST19 Emulation

Here is the procedure to activate your receiver using the ST19 emlation program.

You will need a max and mel emulation interface and an iso programmer. The atmel 2313 chip will need to be flashed with a 10B or a 30B image depending on which card you are activating. Use the boot disk creator first. Insert a floppy in your puter and run the program. After the disk is created open it. In there is a COR file. Delete it. Take the virgin card image for the receiver you want to activate and rename it ST19. COR. Paste that into the floppy. Then take the ST19.ROM file and paste that in there too. That is for doing 102 cards only. You will need the other file named ST19.103ROM to do the 103 cards. If you want to activate a 103 card will need to rename it to ST19.ROM as well before you paste it into the floppy. Now you need to flash the chip on the board. Use jeepers or xpatmel and flash with the 10B or 30B depending on which card you activating. Next you need to aux your 102 card. Use perky's 1.22 patch with N2Edit. This card will work to activate 102's or 103's. You will need to connect you iso programmer to comport 2 on you puter. Then connect the emulation board to comport 1. Put the floppy in your puter and start it. After a bit you should see a list of commands and an ATR. If not then the ROM or the COR file is not right. Slide the emu board into the receiver you are activating. After the receiver reboots you should see the code roll. If not you have issues with the floppy or the flash or a connection. Call Chucky for activation and wait for the message 128 to appear. After authorization is complete. Push shift C on the keyboard and that will save the new COR file to the floppy. Pull out the floppy and read it. Copy the COR file and change the name to .bn102 or bn103. Read the image with nagramaster and if you see box keys your are done. Patch your tiers and blocker. Enjoy. All files will be posted at dssftp.

What the hell you trying to get folks into here? For goodness sake, why the hell would you call Chuckie?!!! Your how-to was doing ok up till that point, but then you shot the whole thing to hell. Your sign off is out of line as well. I'm not sure what's going on here, but it looks awfully damn suspicious to me.

The last thing I would ever do is get someone in trouble. The idea here is to activate a receiver without stream locking the cam. I have an account as well as several of my friends. When I call to activate an ird it is all above board. Legal, in other words. I put the ird on my account and it gets activated. Only my cam is open and the $5 a month charge to my account is minimal compared to the programming I get. After a month I deactivate it.

One more thing. You will need to use the 10B patch on your cam before you paste it into the floppy. I tried it both ways and that definitely works better.

The 10B patch WILL lock your card. You are only patching it to the image for the emulation program to use. After activation is complete you must clean the card image with N2Edit. That will install the intercept and take the bin back to rev 103. Then you can then patch your tiers and blocker and write to the cam.

I have not been able to activate a bin without the update patch. That is not to say it can not be done.

Anyone can call in the activtion. Many times I have done it for people that live at the other end of the coountry. Make sure to have the obvious info like the R00 and S00. They often ask for the software version on the card or the ird. Also the device. I.E. DP twin or SW34-500 ect. Chucky does not watch where the call comes from. Only that the proper telephone # is typed in and that you have the correct name and address for that account.

A person can find accounts that have been closed. They are real easy to reopen. Then you have a month or two to activate as many receivers as you can before the bill is over due. Always call from a pay phone and never try to sell them or activate them again. The R00 will most likely be black listed and a red flag will pop up. Very risky.

perky's 1.22 for rom103 it's for I cam's not for Ex.Cam's...Data @ A500 not A700....would'nt this put your card @ a unknown provider ...???

The aux for the rom 103 is unneccessary. I activated a rom 103 card bin using a rom 102 for the aux. Worked great.

The Rom103 COR file should be updated to 309 or 30B and use a Rom102 for Aux....!!!!

virgin image of rom103 cam should the orignal image for the card that comes with unit ...??? or any other image.....cause I had tried with it NOT the orignal and NO Aux ...did not work.....!!!!!!!

The image needs to be a virgin to start with. Then apply the patch to update the rev only.

I could not make it work without the aux card and iso programmer hooked to comport 2.

If you have a virgin card then why would you change the cam id??

Sounds like you are trying to activate this with a cam you already have activated? That will not work.

If the card is virgin and the receiver has no balance owed, then You need to call in the R00 and the S00 #'s as they are. Just like downtown. LOL.

I bought a used 921 with a cam @ REV309 ...and I had extra virgin rom103....that's why I want call for it ...to get the info I need ...you know BK,IRD,and other keys....!!!

I understand now. You want to preserve the virgin card image by using the S00 # from the original card. It might just work. Something tells me it will not. I will give that try asap. Be sure to make a copy of the virgin image so you can use it later.

Or, Just tell Chucky that the receiver showed up without the card and you want to use the virgin card you have. They will not complain. That should work fime for you.
