Why don't you have to Jtag a receiver if it comes with a married card?
And what exactly does it mean to a marry a card to a receiver?
Thanks.

The Box Keys and the IRD # are the same on both of them.
You can read they off or either one.
On the NON J-Tag you have to get this of the card.
On the 311 / 811 NON J-Tag IRD and without a card, you pull the chip off and use it, and throw the rest IRD away.

when a IRD and is marryed to the card and use ing public blockers you must use only part of the blocker and edit the cam id this means you are useing you boxkeys and IRD# with the blocker. if you use part 1-2 of blocker this will over write and will use public info insred of your own if you went that way you would have to jtag the IRD

Well, I'm totally dumb when it comes to this stuff. I'm still confused. If I bought the 510PVR from Milli's store, he says it comes with a married card and you don't need to Jtag it. Why not?
Where as if I buy a 301 receiver from him and use my current card I will have to Jtag it before I program card.
Why is there a difference?

it can't be J-Tagged, you get the number off the card,
without the card it is useless

yes,
the 301 can be j-Tagged
you have to get the numbers off them and charge them so the are "married"

if the card came with the unit dont bother then jaging. just apply tires and blocker and good to go. if you need to jtag 510/5900 its harder then a 3100/310,010 the pvr need a vid mod to jtag since there is no pads you need to soder jtag wires in its a little difficualt

So, if I use this 510 PVR with the married card and the card gets looped, will I be able to use another card with this unit without any hasle?

yes you can use another card in the 510 receiver
as long as the have the IRD# and the Box Keys # to put on the other card.
never loose them

If the IRD is J-Tagg able
you buy a J-Tag and the, the program and run it in the IRD and you get the nember of of it there.
If it's not J-tagg able,
you get Blue Nexus 4619 Unlocker and open the card.
then you and an ISO and read that card,
that will suppley you with the program for the card which you can convert to being used now
and the IRD # & the Box Keys # which are an the card and the IRD
