At around 10:05 EST, he was hanged. What do You think about this?

After being responsible for the deaths of 100 thousand +/- people you could only hope the first attempt was botched and they had to do again.Much to quick in my opinon.
I say dig up some of those kids he had killed and ask them what they think.

He was hanged for the deaths of 148 people. That should be good news to george bush, who is ultimately responsible for hundreds of thousands of INNOCENT lives (and yes some bad ones too).
I look forward to THAT execution. Can you hear me NOW george ?

The sad part about it is that he was never tried for his war crimes against Iran and Kuwait.
The US government had those issues suppressed at trial because of embarassing information.
The US govenment supported Saddam thoughout that time by providing him with weapons and intelligence so that he could wage war.
Kind of a contradiction isn't it?
I want believe he is dead untill I see entire video of his hanging
Funny thing is these were some of the lessor charges, The other charges he will still have a trail on only he will not be present.
If this lessor charge got him hung reckon what the more serious charges would have brought?
Anybody who says America or Bush are the killers and this guy was a saint really should take a momnet and take a deep breath and enjoy life as we know it. It is not going to last forever. You will change your thinking then when you begging for food or watching your kids starve or being killed in the name of Isalm

I don't mind seeing him swing but too bad there is not more of a sense of finality to it
I agree woulda been good to see him tried for more of his crimes, 148 people dead is now pretty much business as usal in Iraq. By those numbers they are gonna have to hang most of the population eventually

Even if there is a trial on the remaining issues, the evidence will be sanitized. Saddam was silenced as to revealing any weapons deals he had with the US leading up to the Iran and Kuwait wars.

Hanging seems to be a peaceful way to die. No pain at all. Its like going to sleep instantly. Can anyone think of a better form of execution for people that must die for there wrongful deeds? His victims suffered pain, including the children.

It appears that my thread has been high jacked by your post, its OK, I don't really care what is talked about anyway. But since this is the new topic of this thread, please explain your post to me.
JT's post includes motives of some sort. You have not PM'd me or have you sent me and email inviting me to ANY site. Thanks for the complement or lack of, which ever it may be. JT told you the truth, I do not have any access to privileged information, I am just a member and I am not special.
I really do not have any motive except to help others and keep the forum interesting. I do make controversial posts at times but I don't think what I say hurts the forum in anyway.

I shouldn't have gotten on Ghost's case so hard. Sorry about that. I do wish he'd make some effort to make sense and stay on topic though. Sorry to hijack too Seaboard. I must have been grumpy yesterday.
My only fear with Saddam's execution is that his followers get all riled up.....I guess that's redundant though. Saddam's supporters are already pretty crazy and wired up on religeon.

Too much jagermeister for breakfast ??? As for Saddam, I could care less either way, but it seems to me that he was that sacrafical lamb because we couldn't get that bin laden fruitcake in the first place.
Ghost has been around forever, and has always been cryptic. I suspect he does not use english as his primary language. Perhaps he meant Motivation and intelligence.
Hard to say..
Sadam? I would have liked to see him suffer a bit. Being a complete psychopath and going as far as having his sons attend some of his torture sessions so they knew how to do it "right". Being directly responsible for around 1/2 million deaths. Being an all around bad person... yeah, I would have liked him to suffer.
