i am trying to marry a card to this reciever. it says it is a 510 on the back but in jkeys it comes up a 501. it has dual tsops so which one do we reflash to marry them? both, one, or two? i did one and it says card not for this reciever. anyone else have one of these 510's that actually have a jtag port.

Erase both, but only need to flash U7. Be careful about erasing since I`m not sure what you have and whether you need a vid mod to write to U7. 501/508/510 all use the same firmware, but I haven`t seen a 510 with a jtag port, so not sure what you have.

So a 510 needs a vid mod ??? Just wondering, I have one and never fucked with it, the 301.10s are so easy. It just sitting on the shelf.

Yeah, I like the 010`s to, easy to work with since they are DT08 receivers. As far as I know, all 510`s do need a vidmod, at least all I have worked on did.

I believe all 510s and some 508s need vidmods to put 12v to SA70.. To
unlock and erase so you can write to that sector..
I too have the same exact problem as you right now.. 510 jkeys detects
my 510 as a 501.. It returns all my info, cam and ird number, correctly..
But when I click on 510, it give me something totally different..WTF.. It
has the correct firmaware, and version though. Then when I stick
my card in, I get 020.. Card not valid with receiver..
Hell, I even got it to update from P080 to 364 that way..
If you figure it out.. Let me know..
I will continue to work on it.

Jkeys looks for 501 IRD# at 3FFFC0 which is where it will be if running a DT08. The 510 IRD# is at 3FFF40 for SKs. If you read numbers correctly as 501, then the 510 mode should read all FFs or IRD# 4294967295, and vice versa - good on 510 if running SKs and FFs on 501.

so if i have a 510 as it says and i read it as a 501 and reprogram it under the 501 in jkeys am i going to have problems? when i pull it up in gendskwhatever there is a red box the crc box and next to it is a fix box you can select or a box to check to use the value that comes up which in my case os 0003. i tried using the 0003 and i have black channels and card not authorized every time i have the p365 software so i have current software. i know my dates are good because i checke them in romexplorer. i am at a total loss here.

508 and 510 have the receiver number and boxkeys at a different location than a 501.
The 508/510 numbers can be moved to the same location as a 501, this is normally done when removing SKs, and makes the 508/510 look like a 501 to jkeys.
The 510s that I set up for no-rsa and public numbers all read as a 501 "moved bootstrap" in flashedit, and as a 501 with bootstrap of XXXX in jkeys, all work perfectly.

got it by switching to public #'s and an iso loader instead on a mikobu vortex pro. i have seen where people say it will work to program cards, i'm sure it will just not a 102 card.
