I have a virgin Rom 102 that I opened to use with another receiver that I now want to sub legit. So I wrote the virgin eeprom back to the card and ran what I thought was an interceptor removal patch and called to sub, all I get is black screen. The card will not update to 10B.....how can I get this to work?

What rev was the virgin at?

I have a work aroung this problem.

It may require re-glitching into the card.

I need to what rev the virgin was at.

Why would you sub an open 102!? If you want to sub, I think you should just call dish to get a card. If you don't want to use the card to test you can sell it for lot's of money! JMOH

Don`t know the history of your card, but if a camID was previously written to 3050 (OTP) and that camID does not match the camID of your card bin at 30D8, it will not update revs.

The virgin card is at Rev 103.

I realy think if your going to sub it, you should put one of those blockers on it that keeps you in your card so your not locked out.

It will not update with a blocker.

Dave411 you are correct, the hex values at 3050 are not the same as the correct ones at 30D8. Is there a way around this?

Nope, not that I am aware of. You either need the card bin that goes with the camID at 3050 so the camIDs match or you need a true rev103 with all zeroes at 3050.

actually these bytes should also match:
3050
30D8
A75A
A76C

edit these areas with the cam you want to use and then stream update it to 10b

I didn't know about A75A and A76C, but when I changed the bytes at 3050 and wrote to the card I would then read the card and the card would show the same thing. Like it didn't take or something? I will try making sure all 4 areas are showing the same Cam and then write to the card.

Thanks for the help

Yes, there are 3 camID locations in the bin and naturally they should match. 30D8 is the camID location that the providers use to write to the 3050 location in rev105. 3050 is part of the OTP (one time programmable) and you can not write to it with any of the programs used to write the normal card bin (except for using a D2C in certain conditions). If 3050 is not the same as 30D8 or all zeroes, it will not update.

What conditions for the D2C to change it?

Glitch the card with RebelSerf 102 OmniUnlocker.

Rewrite the virgin image.

Use 103 intercept removal.

Stream from about 10pm EST it should be at 10B by about 12am next day.

Then call up sub (rehit if already subbed).

One condition is all zeroes. The other is the OTP can be incremented up, but never down. That does not mean a 3 can up to a 4 though. Each bit in the camID is composed of 4 binary nibbles. 0000 = 0, 0001 = 1, 0010 = 2, 0011 = 3, 0100 = 4, etc. Once it is turned on (becomes a 1), it can not be turned off. So a 3, 0011, can only be changed to 0111 (7), 1011 (B), or 1111 (F). Very limited.

What happens if the revision on the card is not up to date? If its not 10b?
Thanks,

The rev needs to be 10B or there is no video except for free channels.
