None in the electronics stores in my area. When I look it up online theres
plenty but dont know which one to get. Some has letters and numbers before and after the 5817 diode id. If some one would sell me 2 or 3 I'd be thankful or if a place to purchase some with the whole id. I dont want to buy the wrong one. Thanks

NTE5817 is the NTE cross for that diode, any local electronics stote that carries NTE components should have that.

Or you can order from Mouser.com or Alliedelec.com

512-1N5817 is the mouser number, it's in stock at $0.20 each.
833-1N5817-TP in stock at $0.13 each
they have a number of other suitable replacements too.

alliedelec has the NTE5817 for $3.06 each....

you'd be better off shipping cost wise to find a local dealer and pay the higher NTE cost. If you need to order, mouser is recommended.
