Hello I have a 510 that I was trying to convert to b*v. I don't know what happen during the write but I got an error and now the receiver is a sleep. I've had great success in waking up a 310 but I cannot get this one to wake up. Any help would be appreciated. Whenever I try to program I get the flash timeout dq5 set. When I read in jkeys this is all I get
IRD# R00 0000 00001-96
BOX KEYS FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF

I am able to program u6 with out any errors but when I try to program u7 I get the flash timeout dq5 set error.
I have tried to force a write using wall with no success.
This unit has the video mod and oj done on it
Any help would be appreciated

thanks

weird.
i know skinerd could answer this.
u using public numbers?
did u use search with that error number?
did u try to reload a virgin image to u7 only and erase the sectors and stream update? (u don;t need to reflash u6, it populates itself)
try to flash u7 first.
check your ground
not answers, but suggestions that may work.

Jumping OJ1 will normally is all is needed to successfully flash any 501/508/510.
Of course those with 323GT and 320DT chips need vid modded.
323DT chips are open.....

My 501 is the only receiver that liked the OJ1 jumper..

My 510s dont like it.. Jkeys errors out every time I tried to use it.. So I dont..

What???
I have done well over 100 510's, used OJ1 on ALL. Jumping OJ1 is almost always needed, and never hurts.
