811 ird how to get off-air hd channels?

I just bought a used 811 HD unit on Ebay so that I could watch off-air local HD channels. When I read the manual, it said that I had to subscribe to dish programming to use the off-air antenna input (8vsb).

Is there an easy way to get off-air hd channels without subscribing to dish network? Thank you so much.

You will need a hd antenna to attatch to your 811. Some hd tv's have a antenna jack to pull in the local hd channels without a box.
