Hi Guys,
I could use a little help from someone who may know how to help me get some video on this 301.013 single tsop. I used the TSOP below, which is a No RSA Mod from the fileshop. Everything works, guide, check switch and free channels, you know... Nasa and the like. I did plenty of 4900's that work like a charm with the No RSA Mod. What should I do next? Its not red gide or anything like that. The bin is OK. I have a good guide. 7FFFFFAC is 0000
Thanks For Your Advice... I know... I should no how to do this! But its my first ever 301.013.

First thing I`d try would be to open file in flashedit and fix CRC, then reflash the receiver. If that doesn`t work, either run the removeSK.fs script in flashedit again or open the TSOP file in a hex editor and FF out the entire line at 3FFF40.

I did not try this yet because since its a mod'd TSOP, I figured it was done. Should I try it?
Yes, Try It!

OK, redid the TSOP with this script and it has video. So if anyone else wants to do this, use this information, it works.

There were a couple of reasons that I was interested in changing the 301 to a No RSA Mod.... the main reason is be cause I don't have desubs and re-sets using the 4900 No Rsa mod, using emulation. The 301 would either re-set or desub everyday, just like quite a few peeps are having now. That was not particularly troublesome to me because I only used the 301 for certain sporting events that I wanted to watch, so as not to disturb the family.
I think a great deal of peeps are using old outdated information that is still out there and most of them that are still using the vid mod instructions do not understand that it is no longer necessary to change location 7FFFFFAC to 0000, it should be left alone after the new TSOP is applied to the IRD using Jkeys. The only reason that the vid mod has to be used in the first place is to apply the 9 to 12 volts to the TSOP, so it can be written to for the locked sector 7FFFFFAC. Also, when erasing the TSOP, the 9 to 12 volts is necessary to get a good erase, the first time. Otherwise, the TSOP may not be fully erased, which could cause data corruption when the new TSOP is written. This concept would apply to other IRD's that require the vid mod.
So, in conclusion, if all this is done correctly, desub/reset/freezing issues should be corrected. in most cases with the high end IRD's. Although I do not use private info as yet, I expect that the above procedure would also fix issues for those who do use non public numbers. I hope this helps others and others should get positive results that will eliminate freeze/desub/reset issues. This works for me.

Good post seaboard18, Couldn't have said it better myself.
Always nice to see a thread completed with the solution posted to help others who may have the same questions.
