My apologies Greetings from Scherbius,
First off, my apologies for not updating users earlier about what is going on with the Enigma Card. At the moment, I am in South America and finding a reliable online connection can be a little challenging. I will be returning from my trip by next week. At that time, I will be releasing EnigmaEdit3.5 which supports Provider ID 0905 and the Jacobian/ECC math for Map57. I have also made some minor modifications to the firmware to eliminate 019 errors for some models at statup and the firmware should now be completely freeze
free. And yes, tiers are now retrieved from EEPROM. So you will all have this by next week when I return from the Amazon Jungles of S. America. Now, one more thing you should be aware of is that Echostar is completing a massive firmware upgrade of all their IRD firmware to start implementing EMM64 and/or MECM80. I know this from some firmware disassemblies I had a chance to look at before leaving. I did not study the updates in great detail, but the jump routines look eerily similar to what they did for Nagra 1 EMM64. Whether this is EMM64 or some other EMM (private EMM64s have already been observed in the datastream so they are for real) doesn't make much difference. As long as you are using an Echostar IRD and a cam that can handle EMM64 processing, you shouldn't have any problems. Since the Enigma Card can decrypt CMD04 in real time, I don't see any major problems for us.
As for the source code release, I have decided to wait until I add the private provider ID support, Jacobian/ECC support and the EMM64 support. The code will then be fairly stable and only minor changes will be required to maintain it.
One last item of business. I am just one of the coders for this card. I am not a dealer and I don't sell any hardware. Please take up any problems with the dealers who have the gerber files, part numbers and actually manufacture and sell the device. If a particular dealer doesn't answer your questions or doesn't take the time to support the product, I suggest you find another dealer.
Regards,
-Scherbius
PS. Once I get back, I will make time to chat with users once a week on Mondays at the official forum.
