I installed Windows Vista and went to open Jkeys 5900 . I got an error, Could not require I/O. Windows NT/2K users must have administrative rights....

Weird thing is the account I am running this under, is the admin..
Any suggestions???

Thanks

I have been, and am being warned by several groups that I am a member of, to be careful about downloading vista. Too many bugs and WAY too many problems downloading things I pay for from several sites (not sat related). Also, my g/f, a computer guru has warned me to NOT buy Vista.

I know that wasn't what you were looking for, but it's what I was told / warned.

I have been thinking about going with Vista but I have been hearing the same thing. Maybe we can get a thread going for Hacking with Vista problems and other issues?

If you are getting the message "Could not acguire I/O .Windows NT/2K users must have administration rights.”
right click on wall program icon, left click on 'properties', and left click on the 'compatibility' tab...left click the box that says 'run this program in compatibility mode' and associate with windows 98 ( for xp users )...that should cure the problem ( at least with windows xp...may be a little differant with 2000...there is a 'associate with' for 2000 in there, but the same idea.) Good luck

Even Microsoft acknowledges Vista sucks and will soon release Windows 7.

XP support will cease shortly thereafter..

Microsoft...the same company that brought you Windows 95, Windows ME, Vista.......all operating systems that FLAT SUCK.

i couldnt get jkeys to work in vista. All I did was install XP on drive C and Vista on Drive D (Second Hard Drive). You can also partition one hard drive into two drives which will work for running 2 operating systems. Or u could go on FleaBay and pick up a 486DX66 Running Windows 95/98 and jtag quite easily.
