Time zone still off and it would jump between 019 or 005 with keys entered. I had it on channel 101 and it would flash 019 for about a second and be ok for a minute or so PVR 508 with latest software public info

Ya i'm getting that too. I re programmed it again with the keys and it was on 2 of 5 for about 10 minutes and now flashed the 019 error and it's back on 0 of 5

Something is up with 3.5 software it will hang or freeze while writing the eeprom. I first used my own tiers to check time zone and saw no change then went to use the suppled bin and now all I get is eeprom update failure. but when I run the diagnostics test on the card everything checks ok

hacker

Same with me I just tried the supplied bin and got an error updating eeprom! WTF is going on? I'm going to bed will mess around with this tomorrow goodnight

I got it working for Dish! What I did was ERASE the four "ecm keys - private", programmed the supplied rom, programmed the suppled EEPROM (I got the lag as well) then program card. I put the card in my 510 and it worked on the first try, been working for an hour now.

If your using the card for DISH make sure you erase the four "ecm keys - private" because they are used for BELL i guess.

Guys,
Could you move this discussion to EnigmaCard forum?
It's been up today!

I have a question. This is right from the read me.

EnigmaEdit3.5
-added private key support
-added Maps 4E, 4D, 55, 56, 57, 58 (ECC / projective coordinates)
-New maps are fully coded but not active. Will be enabled in EnigmaEdit 3.6.

It looks like map57 was coded, but why on earth would Scherbius code it and not make it active yet? Why wait. I am sure the BEV users would like it now.

sunmachine
02-08-2007, 06:16 PM
BEV users would definately like MAP57 to be working NOW.

Where can we get the Private BEV IDEA Keys from? I haven't found a program or site that lists them or keeps them upto date.

So basically... this doesn't work? I'm just asking before I fry my card with this stuff...is ANYTHING fixed?

Update: Nevermind, this release really sucks. I keep getting to the point where it says "closing usb" then it says writing to EEPROM failed. End of story.... I tried the supplied bin and my own bin.

Does yours work mili?

Is 3.5 suppose to autoroll? Cause I've programmed my card twice with 3.5, waited 20 minutes each time, and yet still nothing.

I don't think so, I think that feature is coming out in 3.6 or 3.7....4.0 :p

Working, finally, but not glitch-free.

STILL will not load private tiers and timezone. And will NOT accept key changes, unless you change them in the bin first before writing EEPROM.

As for the EEPROM write failure, you may get this, I did....just keep writing it. It'll go on there.

Anyway, it's up and running perfectly, for now, in a 301013 IRD, with no freezing - but still no locals and eastern timezone only. The next test will be the first time the keys roll.

You have to put a space after every 2 numbers. Try doing it again after you load the eeprom then program. Here are the keys

key 0: 50 57 D2 64 CC 4B 8B 15 22 15 E4 65 07 5E 2C 66

with what ever current key are, but when i load eprom from enigma, it goes back to default

First, be aware we just had a key roll, so make sure you get the latest ones just posted. Then, take a private bin (not Enigma's) and edit the keys with DTTierworks, etc. When you 'load eeprom' with the Enigma program, select your edited private bin. It will work; I just got through doing it with the new keys.

If you still have problems switch back to 3.4. I am using 3.4 because I found less problems with it.

I can't seem to get past Attention 015... Acquiring satellite signal ...Please wait.. Doesn't even give me 1 of 5 and so forth.... I successfully programmed my receiver w/ the new TSOP (new changes applied for Box keys and IRD #)
Then used my own EEPROM when programming Enigma card.. didn't get anywhere that way so i went back to the defauly EEPROM that was supplied...
Any idea how I can fix this problem ...

Thanks

Guys if you're using your favorite app like NagraEdit or N2Edit to patch the current keys to included public bin be aware that the keys are in a different location than you are used to. Here's the location for the public EEPROM_Dish.bn102 bin:

All I get is nothing more then 019 ERROR on my two Enigmas from day one that I received them, over a month and a half ago...I have used every version there is, including the great 3.5!

Twostep

Here is my step-by-step, if you'd care to try it. It's running well in a DN 510 (except autoroll)

I use a public-number, NoRSA, ROM 103 bin and have the receiver flashed to match. It's a complete bin, with tiers, timezone information, etc...but does NOT have a blocker patched. You don't need a blocker with the Enigma card. Don't use a 10B bin; use a 103 bin.

I took my bin, loaded it in DT Tierworks, clicked the key icon and pasted the current keys in the appropriate boxes. Then I clicked 'save and write keys'. Then, clicked 'modify bin file' and closed that program.

Then I opened Enigma 3.5, loaded the ROM again, then loaded the eeprom I just modified with the current keys. After writing the eeprom you'll most likely see a delay (30 sec or so) in closing the USB. If you get an 'update failure' nag, just rewrite; it should go on eventually.

Program card and put it in the IRD.

Here's what may be happening with some of you: If you paste the current keys in the provided boxes, the program will ignore them and write the default keys, which are wrong. You MUST edit the keys in the bin itself before writing it. As soon as the eeprom write begins, the proper keys will display in the boxes. Again, putting them in there yourself is fruitless. Put them in the bin FIRST. If the program loads the wrong keys, you'll see step 2 of 5 hangups, 'not authorized' and 'not inserted correctly' nags, guaranteed. You HAVE to load the current keys.

Note: On advice from another member, I erased all the ECM Private Keys data before programming. Just highlight and delete. Also, you're still not going to see your private tiers and timezone, even though they're in your bin that you modded with the current keys. The keys will load; the tiers/timezone won't. How strange.

Maybe you are not giving it time to load before clicking on program card. When you load rom, let it tell you when the load is complete. Same with eeprom. Then hit program card. Just a thought.

That's one of the reason why I'm frustrated with these Enigmas. It does say it is complete then I select program card and it sends the information successfully. I have different recievers consisting of 3100.010's and HD6000 and they are all a no go with 019 errors on public and private bins.

Just fyi from my stuff I was able to get it working on both public and private. Just no keys rolling as everyone has noted. My private is a 6000 on D*sh and it does work. I can offer what I did for the private No RSA mod:

1. Get your bin. This is a Rom 102 Rev 103 bin with your private info, 0D and DT08 or SK. Essentailly a working bin.

2. Clean the codespace on the bin. Then use Mr TierWorks to clean off the channel and PPV tiers. Don't add any new tiers just yet.

3. Add the 2 EnigmaEdit key locations to the bin. I suspect this is where some are getting caught. As I mentioned in a previous post the keys are in a different location. On your private bin you might have to add them. Use NagraEdit or N2Edit to add the keys via the patch below:

!ADD 06 1A 138000000100000608105057D264CC4B8B152215E465075E2C 66
!ADD 06 1A 13D9A316010000460810E559F8E6852CE0C3456B1ECF997F20 81

With the addition now EnigmaEdit can find the key locations. To change them you can change them either in EnigmaEdit or create a patch. If you want to create a key patch it will be unique for your private bin as the location address will vary. Look for the location of the keys under NagraEdit - Dataspace tab and adjust the patch accordingly.

3. Once the bin is all patched load it up in Mr TierWorks and create your channel and PPV tiers.

4. Save it and then you're good to go!

5. Open up EnigmaEdit 3.5 and select your receiver from the drop down. Then load the ROM and the EEPROM. After the EEPROM load you will see they keys. You can change them if needed. I also deleted the B*v ecm keys and left those fields blank.

*** If you are getting the error message loading the EEPROM in EnigmaEdit 3.5 I believe I found the problem. It looks like the USB cable has to be short. A short 3' cable direct from the computer works perfect. I initially tried hooking the same 3' cable to USB port on my LCD monitor which connects to the computer by another 6' USB cable. Loading the EEPROM failed every time connecting this way. It has never failed going direct to the computer.

I hope this is of some value. Now we need autoroll and a time zone change option.

;)

CrownRoyal, I assume you're using the EEPROM_Dish.bn102 for D*sh...? If you are patch it with this in NagraEdit or N2Edit:

Save it and use EnigmaEdit to write it to your Enigma... should do it.
