Hello I just got me Viewsat Ultra today and I want to run both Bev and Dish with it.it is not a clone and it came with user manual and disqec switch and remote.I have been reading alot into this since I am new to the FTA but have a few questions.First I will tell you what I have.I have two dish 500's with dish pro LNB's both are quad LNB's.One is pointed to Bev and one to Dish there are no switches in between like DP34 or something. Can you run both legacy lnb's and dish pro lnb's at the same time?Is the Ultra already flashed with the factory bin or is that the first thing I should do to it?Also I am going to use the usb to load bins and flash because I don't have a serial port. What is the first thing I should put on the Ultra the .PGM or what?I have a tutorial video that shows me how to use loader2 but I am going to us the usb so it will be different.Do I need to load the satilite info and the channel info for both Dish And Bev since I am going to have both on this Ultra or does the PGM file have all of that?Is there anyway to ruin the Ultra by putting the wrong flash or something?Sorry for all of the questions.:D :)
Yeah all you load is the newest bin to your receiver it will have both bev and dish ready.
Im not familiar with viewsat but somehow you need to combine both your dishes into 1.
Dish pro is compatable with diseq so maybe you can get all 4 birds by using a diseq then setting it up on your viewsat ultra.
like antenna settings goes to diseq1, diseq2 for 119/110 etc.

Ok I put both V0119ULTRA-VIEWSAT & PFTAUSW-070206U ( Latest PGM ) on with usb.I then did the Antenna Setup for 119 & 119 & 82 & 91 sats.then did a auto scan for channels I got some of the Bev channels and some of the Dish channels alot were missing so I did other scans and now I just is stuck on the waiting for signal and sometimes waiting for autoroll I have let it sit for 3 hours.I then did some more reading and I think i did the diseq switch thing wrong.I have a legacy quad for Bev and a dish pro quad for Dish am I supposed to have a cord for both 119 & 110 & 82 & 91?Or can I just have two like I would with a Dish ird or Bev ird I mean it takes one to recive both sats.Does it read both sats with one port or do you need four cables running to the diseq switch? Thankshttp://www.dssevolution.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif:D
legacy doesnt work well while switching with a diseq. If you have a sw 21 switch you could use 1 line from each and it should switch fine between the satellites.
Its trying to switch between each satellite on 1 line you know. IF you ran all 4 cables im not sure if it will work or not. Like set the antenna setting to 119/1 110/2 etc then 91/3 82/4 but im not sure if that would work either. sw21 would work though if you have one readily available

If it gets stuck on "searching for signal" or "auto roll processing", just try turning the unit off then back on with the remote. You may have to do it 2-3 times in a row, but that should get the picture back.
LOL, DVB is a hassle free way to TV, i own one with a large inventory of "modified" equipment, owned and used by me (just my little two cents) ((((yea i know......its pissin of peeps LOL))))
