ive tried several differnet laptops that use com1 with address 03f8 irq 4 but it will not run .. it detects emu board but fails to start .. even using st19 with no aux it does same thing .. i get scrolling code in st19 but quits running soon as i insert emu board .. either emu works fine on any regular desktop pc but no go with a laptop .. i seen that changes can be made to command line but not sure where to start .. anyone had success in using a laptop with CEMU or st19 with no aux?
thank you

laptops do not like emu...some work, many don't . I don't have a magic answer for you either, sorry.
That sounds more like a bad flash on the atmel to me. What flash you using? Most laptops, whether it came with a com port or using an expansion card, will run Cemu. You running off a boot disk or trying to run in windows?

ive tried DOS and windows version .. the emu board is flashed properly and is working now on a desktop pc but if i try it with any laptop ( 2 Dells and a Hitachi with win98 for DOS and winXP for windows version ) i get same results... the com1 port addresses on my laptops are the same as my desktop pc .. its throwing me for a loop ..lol

yes overeasy your on the right track by copy and pasting new version to a boot disk.. there is a newer st19xl out now its version st19xl 2.5.0.7 .. if u view contents on floppy in win98 after creating boot disk you will see autoexec.bat open that file by right clicking on it and then left click edit .. you will see your command line for st19 .. remove or add the /a in command line for using a aux or not using a aux .. thats the only differnece between the two boot disk creators.. the /a means your using a aux card .. if you dont use a aux card then locals and previews will be all you get .. hope this helps
