Does anyone else have an enigma working in a 301.013 single TSOP? I vid-modded my box so I could follow the How To installation instruction. Is there a mod that I'm missing in order to get this to work? Any help would be appreciated.

IRD - 301.013
f/w - P344
Provider - Dish
problem - black screen, guide and free channels work
tried enigmaEdit v3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7

you could have used the same TSOP on the box that you just vid modded, no need to look for a bin, the purpose for the vid mod is so you can gain full access to your TSOP, just save your bin, create new ird number and boxkeys from the original bin write the new TSOP information, program the card to new IRD information and stick in receiver and watch TV..............................gcan

make sure, you have a copy of your bin, by the way what is the build of your 301-013?.....................................gcan

yeah, that's what I did...I pulled off the TSOP from my box, changed the box keys to 8C A6 A8 8C FD E2 E2 63, and IRD# to 011C746C (according to the How To), then re-wrote it to my IRD. But all I get is black screen.

i dont work with enigma cards although they are similar to atmega but spoofed to 102's but check your keys and make sure your keys are up to date sounds like a problem with the cards' RSA and the 301-013's RSA also the card could be loaded with SK(DT08) and your receiver has an RSA i've seen problems like that before............. .............gcan

I'm not sure what all of that means. I think I may have seen DT08 or SK in some other posts. What should the receiver have, RSA or DT08? Will either one work? How would I apply or remove the RSA or DT08, to get the receiver in whatever state it needs to be?

ok, in simple terms All 301-013 single TSOP use RSA! RSA is for ALL single TSOP receivers, now i dont use enigma cards so i dont know what the extension it uses, for example, rom 102 uses .bn102, 101's use .bn101 and atmega uses .pfg and ect, i dont know what enigma uses since i dont emulate cards that way............................gcan

by looking at the files, the enigma has its own Rom.bin that gets loaded into it. You also have to load an EEPROM bin (.bn102 file) for all the tier and key info. But in order for it to work, you have to change your IRD's boxkeys and IRD# to a specified number.

Try getting an SK removal file.

http://dssftp.com/files/index.php?m=category&CATID=42

Its the 6th or 7th file. Apply this file to TSOP file and it should allow the 013 IRD to run with public data. Put in the IRD number and the box keys where shown. Restream the receiver.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll give it a try when I get home tonight.

One more question...should I put in the boxkeys and IRD number that enigma uses, or should I use the original BK and IRD # of my receiver?

Well, I tried this, but it didn't work. I still only get a black screen and the free channels. Any other suggestions?

Well, I tried this, but it didn't work. I still only get a black screen and the free channels. Any other suggestions? It would be nice if you could test the receiver with a Rom102 loaded with the provided eeprom file plus a blocker.

Hit the TSOP files here. Maybe you will find a file that works. The build is important. The build in the eeprom file should match the TSOP.

Someone posted a working 013 file on Feb 17 for DASA. You can at least take a look at the file data at the end of it.

Just to make sure I understand, how much of the build configuration, should I look for in the file. What I mean is, my receiver has a 18DB-DANA build, so will a 17BB-DANA (or any other DANA) file work, or do I have to find another 18DB-DANA file?

Maybe PM Seaboard18. He seems to have gotten things to work. Sorry I can't help more. The principles are the same for a NoRSA mod for any form of testing. So what worked for Seaboard18 should work. You can also try erasing a sector like SA50 and restreaming the receiver. But save the TSOP as it is first.

ClarkeBelt, you da man! Thanks to Seaboard18!!
Here is what I did for any (other) newbies that are lost.
I used a public 301.13-dana 204 which is a NoRSA Mod.
I changed boxkeys and IRD # with FlashEdit2 and saved the TSOP(IRD #: 01 1C 74 6C, Boxkeys: 8C A6 A8 8C FD E2 E2 63) .
I turned on my VIDMod and attached a ground wire from pin R79 to the case.
Plugged in the IRD
I used JKeys_dp301-013c (with Mfg FFFF for single chip 301-13) to erase full (3 times) and write the new TSOP.
Unplugged IRD.
I then turned off the VidMod and removed the ground wire.
Next I plugged in the IRD with no Enigma and no cable to the dish and waited 10 min. This gave the IRD time to write to the eprom. Unplugged.
I turned on my VIDMod and attached a ground wire from pin R79 to the case.
Plugged in the IRD and saved the Eprom
I then used Hexworks to edit the Eprom. The sticker on my board reads DANB.
I changed The DANB in the Eprom save to DANA (ALL Caps!) to match the public build.
I also used Hexworks to edit the TSOP per Seaboard18's post
http://www.dssftp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69239
I used JKeys to erase full (3 times) and write the new TSOP and new eprom.
Unplugged IRD.
I then turned off the VidMod and removed the ground wire.
I programmed my EnigmaCard per instructions. (Do a search for the latest Keys, I entered them manually and zeroed out the private keys.)
I inserted the EnigmaCard AND a buisness card above it (for a snug fit and no 019 error)
Attach the cable from the Dish(LNB) and plug in the IRD.
You may not get a picture at first.
It prompted me if I wanted to install a software update. YES! This updates the build. wait wait wait.
Watch TV !
Every channel on Sat 119 is wide open. I can't vouch for any other birds, 110 or 61.5. My other LNB is broke and there's too much snow on the roof for me to get my kanuck behind up there and reattach it.

Congrats emissary55, I just got my 301.013 single TSOP working too using my IRD's original bin. If anyone else (with a 301.013) is getting a working guide and free channels, but everything else black (even though you've got the right keys), check out this post: http://www.dssftp.com/forum/showthread.php?p=427668#post427668
Thanks again Workmen.

I had success with Seaboard18's script too. Some notes and observations....

I started with an exSub 301.013 at P343. It was Build DALC with a DALA bootstrap. I used Gunther's guide to JTAG and VID Mod.

1. Before retrieving the bin I put the ex-sub card in and let it update to P345.
2. Used JKEYS dp301.13c to retrieve bin
3. Used Flashedit to run Seaboard's script on the downloaded bin. When prompted by the script, I entered DALA to match the bootstrap. That's all for Flashedit. DO NOT LOAD BOX KEYS OR IRD #!
4. Turned on VID MOD, erase 3x, uploaded modified bin to IRD
5. Hooked up the IRD and powered on with no card while I programmed Enigma
6. Hooked up card and ran card check with Edit 4.1
7. Set to 301.13 Single Flash and loaded ROM.
8. Retrieved current keys with KeyRipper and loaded in Edit 4.1
9 Zeroed out private keys
10. Loaded Eeprom
11. Programmed card
12. Used "Read Keys" to ensure the current keys took--they did.
13. Unhooked card, plugged it into IRD, waited while satellites acquired, then program guide.
14. Zha-Zamm, I got Dish!

Actually there was a lot of trail and error on the way. My observations:

- P343 doesn't work. Let your IRD update tp p345 before you retrieve the BIN
- You don't need to type DANA in script to match the public EEPROM, my DALA build worked fine
- After you modify the bin in Flashedit, both Flashedit ahd JKEYS showed the IRD # and Box Keys FFFF. That's OK--leave it alone. Seaboard18's script relocates them and I believe the programs are just looking in the wrong place. If you follow the Enigma instructions on some boards that tell you to use FlashEdit to load IRD and Box Keys, then you just undid what Seaboard18's script does.
- Get some 25 to 30 guage wire to do the vidmod. Thicker won't penetrate "the Spot"
- Back from R79 is a similar "spot" to wire the JTAG ground that is less fargile and allows wire the penetrate the board. Just follow trace back and you'll see it.

This is a homecoming for me. I use to work on DTV and relied on MILI until the HU's were phased out, then just subbed local cable for awhile. This is my first foray in DISH.
