i just got my enigma card, and for the life of me I can't get it to work. Followed all instructions, even reprogrammed several times....same result.
First I tried enigmaedit v3.7 on a 301.010 w/P248, and I just got 005 error, like it wasn't rolling keys.
I edited my bin, and put in current keys; still error 005.

I checked the website and saw v3.8 was out so I used it and re-programmed the card, now I get a normal guide but all channels are black screen. I clicked on 'Test Card' and it tested ok.

I then loaded the eeprom from a 508 setup that was also working perfectly. Firmware @ P309.
Still got black screen. No guide. Got "Error 023 Unable to acquire program guide information."
Tried to manually tune in and I got "Error 359 To continue viewing..... A new card must be installed by 15/31. Call 1-888-251-3019....." I left it all day and tonite I still have a black screen. I also noticed the card numbers on my Sys info were S00 0000 0000. Tried padding it with a business card. No go.
Read the keys from the card and they were correct.
This is for Di$h

So far, no joy.
I updated the 301 firmware to P391, but still getting black screen.
I've completely given up on the 508, but the 301 is a little closer, it gets the guide, just no pic.
Looks to me like the DT08 data is'nt transferring properly. Question is, is this something that could be fixed with a software upgrade? or is it a limitation of the Enigma, where it's simply not capable of doing a proper eeprom transfer?
Did I get a bad card? should I return it? Kinda hard to tell since I'm not getting a response here. BTW, I did get it from Mili.

I have the exact same problem with my enigmas, but I using my private bin. My Bev enigma works fine with the public bin (supplied bin).

When I get home from work today I'm going to reflash my TSOP to the public bin IRD info and see what happens. Both receivers ar 6000

Hey ToUgHsPoT, did you ever have any luck?
I even tried it on a 3900. Rewrote the ird to match the IRD# and boxkeys of their stock bin, and I'm still getting nothing but a black screen.

Your 508 firmware needs to be at P365....I got a 508 and 301 working by changing IRD# and boxkeys to match supplied bin...Try using the public bin just as it is but clear out the Public ECM keys before programming....Get it going first and then you can go back and edit the bin to get your locals...You might wanna work with that 3900 first because it's prolly the easiest of the 3 receivers you mentioned...Just be sure your firmware is up to date on it.

You might wanna work with that 3900 first because it's prolly the easiest of the 3 receivers you mentioned...Just be sure your firmware is up to date on it.Well I dug out the old 3900 again, hooked it up and checked the firmware. It was at P350, so I set it to update , turned it off for a couple hours. It is now at P352. Is this the current firmware for 3900s, or do I need to let it go some more?

Yeah, P3.52 is the latest for that receiver....If you're sure that your IRD# and boxkeys are right, you may want to try writing a virgin EEPROM back to the receiver...Don't know it it will help, but it's worth a try...When you read the receiver's info with jkeys, does it match up exactly with the info supplied with the enigma instructions?? I'm assuming you did erase the 4 private ecm keys too before you programmed the card, right?

Well I have finally got partial success with the 3900. One problem was, the first time I programmed it, I put in the wrong boxkeys. (Boy, did I feel stupid) I remember back in the day when you got a blank screen it was almost always the box keys, but that didn't even occur to me for awhile.
So I finally got it going with the supplied bin, but I spent most of the day trying to get my locals. I finally figured out that a local remap was out of the question, but I still think you oughtta be able to get them in on the higher channels. So far I've tried about 15 different tier edits with no luck. Seems like some kind of incompatibility with one or more of the other tiers.

I finally gave up on that and put the supplied bin back on, got it working, and it was up for about an hour or so, and my wife hollered at me that 'it was stuck'. I came back in and the screen was blank again. Tried various channels, nothing was working. I finally gave up after about 10 minutes and put my atmega back in. I just now put the Enigma back in and it's working again now. Go figure. I do have to pad it with a business card most times, to get rid of 019.

Overall I like the concept of this card, and from what I've seen the firmware gets updated regularly. Very easy to program with the usb cable, but it's definitely got some bugs to be worked out.
I do think it's wrong to advertise it as being able to handle a private bin, etc. when it clearly can not. I would really like to be able to edit the tiers to get local channels, etc. maybe in a future firmware upgrade.
