View Full Version : Coolsat 8000 HD???

Has anyone used on of these receivers? Where did you get file support and how good was the support?

From the research I have done,it appears that neither the Coolsat HD8000 or the Captiveworks 3000 can decode DN High Def. For the time being they can decode BEV HD but since BEV is switching to the same system as DN the units will only work for a short time.
I guess it is best to wait until the receiver manufacturers can accomodate the DN system. But don't hold your breath.

just WAIT FOR VIEWSAT the only unit i would buy HD commig soon

I think most people would like the dealers to cut out all the fluff and just advertise what you need.
Most testers on here watch 110 119 0r BEV. The HD receivers out there state that you can watch mpeg2 and some say mpeg2 and mpeg4 ATSC.
The botton line is will this work on 110 119 and BEV? So if anyone out there has an HD working of those sats let us know how things are going.
