Common problem with RCA units, if you do a search for the problem here, there a a lot of posts about it..

I had that prob w/ a hughs reciever. and boy did i feel dumb after i figured it out. heres wut happened.
ran rg6 cable from dish to to out let on the wall then from out let on the wall to the reciever but did not use rg6 cable. it was way wierd a got some chanels and other channels would not come in at all. i believe cartoon net would give me searching for sat but the chanel after that would come rite in @ 95%....
Moral of the storie make sure your using the rite cable and if you are make sure its in good shape.

as skinerd said, that is a common problem with the rca's, especially the older ones
If it don't work on other receivers then it probably is a bad cable.
