I managed to install a virgin TSOP to my dvr-510 software version P080.. For some reason the receiver is not able to download the new software...
The receiver is stuck on the screen that says Vital information is being downloaded to the receiver... The progress bar doesn't go anywhere... I did make sure my TSOP Lock is in the unlocked position b/c i know that can prevent the TSOP from getting a software update... Any suggestions or do u have a TSOP w/ Software version 309
If someone can send me a virgin TSOP that will work w/ DVR-510 DFHD, bootstrap 23AB software version P309 or newer software version, i would appreciate it .. PM and I will send you my email address... If you can post on forum.. Please do so..
Thanks
Cpt
This happens sometimes. PVRs can be hard to get to update. I don't have a DFHx.
sorry

Sent a DFJA(D) file set, use AS IS, already have public numbers and "moved bootstrap" setup, they will work fine AS IS.....load, switch test, stream to get video, shut down and let it update.

I erased Flash I and II for IRD Model 510-5900...
Then I loaded the file you sent me
R0018642028-PVR501-23AB-DFJA-10S-P080-U7
When I went to detect, the correct info showed up when IRD model was selected on 501-5100.. For IRD model 510-5900 the ird model
was R -0 0000 00001-96 and the box key are FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
is this correct... shouldn't the info be returned when I choose 510-5900 instead of 501-5100... Am I doing something wrong.. did I just change this receiver from a 510 - a 501... Also i should use DFJDeep as the eeprom correct???
Thanks for all hte help

Jkeys only reports that it is a 501 because of where it fines the IRD number. It is normal, and will work fine like this.
You should be GTG

ok I programmed the receiver w/ the TSOP you gave me and also added the EEPROM to the enigma card... now when I connect it nothing is happening.. I just get a blank screen.. Any suggestions???
By the way I didn't alter the files you sent me ... I also made sure Dish keys were correct.. Have a question for u.. Since I am not using private keys, do I leave that part empty.. or should i leave it w/ the default values that are there when enigmaedit i loaded...
Thanks

Did you add the enigma receiver number and boxkeys or make sure they were in the file?

Where was I supposed to add the enigma receiver # and box key too....
I am assuming your refering to these
IRD #: 01 1C 74 6C
Boxkeys: 8CA6A88CFDE2E263
THe TSOP you gave me had this information added already...
was I supposed to have added this to the EEPROM which gets programmed to the enigma card????
Thanks for all your help..

No, I meant just the rceiver files, I was not sure if they were already included.
Did it pass switch test?? Find all your connected sats??

Those # were in the TSOP only and not in the EEPROM file.. I used GenDT08_SK_V3_3 to open the EEPROM File and it was listed w/ All FFFF
so i changed it and saved the new EEPROM FIle.. Now the receiver is not letting me perform a check switch... I am not able to get into the menu option.. Any suggestions... what about the software update... I am assuming i haveto keep the lock on the tsop in off position for it to take in the update.
Thanks

If I sent an eeprom file for the receiver it must be loaded as I sent it. It will be all FF except fist 3 lines.
Let's not get the eeprom for the receiver confused w/eeprom for the card, 2 different things, called the same thing.
