i live in alberta canada and i know that we dont get the best dishnetwork signal up here but i wonder if anyone can help.
i have a 2 dish 301.010 and a dishpro twin lnb,one is in my bedroom with about 100ft of cable and the other is in my living room with about 175ft of cable.
the one in the bedroom seems to get most of the channels, but the one in the living room seems to have alot of missing transponders and the signal is about 20-30% less.i ran new cable to this one checked all my connectors, turned the other one in the bedroom to see if it was drawing current from the other.checked my lnb and my receiver seems to see the twin.
i also tried one of those cheap inline amps from ebay, they dont change anything.
All i was wondering if there an inline amp that works,or is there any like the expensive spaun that have there own power to boost the signal
and do they work.
thanks

No

Move the disk closer 50" --------------100 ft is max.

Not 175"

Either that or get bigger dish

There is one sold by Ratshack that is powered from the DC on the coax and provides considerable gain to offset the cable losses. It works very well if you mount it up near the antenna.
