Most all DVB cards will do what you want but I would never recomend which one to buy and I don't think any true DVB'er would. A lot times it boiles down to economics and how good your pc is or if you have a pc just for the dvb card. There has been a lot info on that at this site and others I recomend to do a lot of reading before you buy one. Just remember one thing nothing is for free or lasts for ever.

Thanks for replying. But for newbies, where are the readings ? Not in this thread. What I hope is "List" of popular DVB cards , not necessory recommand any. "Instruction" and files. Nobody will blame anybody for their own opinion.

I do not think this site likes me to post links to other sites but here are a couple of links. I would recomend getting a card that comes with a remote and also I check out the home pages of the sites that write the software for these cards. I use a nexus-s and just love it but, DVB cards are not plug and play . Hope this helps

as long as you kill the links so they are not live it is ok missey, as long as you are not adeverstising products thas mili sells. you don't advertise subway at quizno's you get the idea. I know our site is very lack on dvb possibilities so in this case it is fine. you did everything right. i hope DVB finds what he is looking for. I would definately have to have a remote control too! lol PVR would be nice.

Crazy1 79 I'am in the same boat as you, I have never tried an FTA unit but I have been thinking about it. If you have a good PC and a dish and know how to aim it your 80% there all ready . You can start with a software DVB card for about $80.00 . I have used MYtheatre,Hispa,ALTdvb,DVBdream,Ritz and Progdvb and each one has it's advantages but, they all work well. hats of to the guys that write the software. If you want to go further keep your eyes open at yard sales for a 1 meter dish and a liner LNB and you will always have something to watch.
