every time I try to reset my cemu, 301-10 w/avr3,ird2pc flash, it loads up and says it reseting twice and then a bunch of #'s and goes to c prompt. it was working great until monday when i turned on an amp in the same room. does'nt matter what cemu i use,dos only. what did i blow up. have reflashed avr several times, same thing. any help? Regards Duh1

maybe make a new disk, what kind of amp? I notice my cemu running on bev will put lines in my tv if i am watching dish, it is dual tuner tv with pip. so there is some interference there

not interested in using windows, dos only on my 190 intells from micron, durable little bastards been using the same one for cemu for 5 years. maybe i blew out the card slot. but don't think so. think that radio frequency from another device screwed something, as you know that the rf from the cemu cable emits a radio frequency that is the exact freq from emergency becons from a downed airplane if not shielded. "they" say the signal can travel as far as 300 feet. i don't know, but i'm just saying. Regards Duh1

Maybe your floppy drive died. Does the green light come on to show power to the floppy? This is pretty uncommon, but it did happen to me a few months ago.

yes jt the floppy reads onto a monitor connected to the cemu puter. however i am not sure if the info gets to the ird. possibly an avr prob or an ird card slot prob or a cable prob. i have checked all with no solution. maybe a com port issue but i doubt it. has anyone had a cemu proggy that goes to a c promt? Regards Duh1

depends on compilation, maybe yours goes to c prompt waiting for card to be inserted. seems to me i have seen one like that, but i maybe talking myself into it. if that is case it is not seeing emu device. something went to hell

craz, i buy that. so now it is a process of elimination. or as the airforce say's while trouble shooting, A,B the only prob i have is i don't have much for B Regards Duh1

you know there was a proggy in the olden days of testing that would check if com1 was sendiing. if anyone knows how to find it, and if it works in dos i would love to hear about it. anything that helps me troubleshoot this prob would be great. also some way to check if the avr3 is workiing correctly other than verify flash in jeepers would also be great. now figureing out if the card slot in my 301.10 is shot, I don't know how to test that. Any help, Regards Duh1

the question is does the c prompt mean there is a lack of communication between ird and pc ie. there is a fault with the cable, (doubtful) or with the avr3 flash,(maybe), the avr itself, the puters com port1, or the card bay on the 301.10. also is every one else's cemu working

Crazy if you use the RCA or S-Video outputs from your bev ird that should get rid of the lines. Im looking into away to shield the Max-Mel so I can use the coax output.

it is RCA now OE, when it was coaxial on the second tuner, it worked better. I did not notice the interference. time to go back to that. as odd as it may seems. it must be crossover harmonics on the same tuner. with seperate tuner the bleedover is not a issue. thank you though OE

started from scratch. new ird new cable new puter. no luck seems to be my old faithful avr that iv'e had for 6 years the 8515 must have blown with the rf freq when i plugged in somethig else to the sme circuit. i can only blame me for poor maintaince and cold solder joints. guess i'll be making a maxmel as soon as i can find the parts. thanks everyone especially craz for your comments and help. for those that want to know, problem solved. the power glitch corrupted my avr flash. all those wanting to use avr's for cemu must use ipd2pc.hex, not ird2pc.pfg, if you use jeepers to program your avr. windows xp does not work with the stock jeepers .pfg files. use the altmel tab in jeepers to erase, write, and read .hex files for the altmel. i changed the dish.bin in the april 12th version of cemu and i'm watching tv. all i have to do now is compile a new cemu dos disk that has my east coast ,and local tiers on it. but, i have no idea how to do that. iv'e been doing this for years, and there is sooooooooooo much more to learn. thanks craz for your help and everyone else who had some input. as usual cockpit error, thank god they don't let me fly. ohhh, wait a minute they are bringing me my blue juice, and taking me back to my room.
