Help with PVR DP501-011 No recording

I reflash my PVR DP501-011 I can see everything but is not recording.I'm trying to find a good instruction (for dummies) how to married the HD without any luck. Please I need help!!!

Can you give a better description of the problem?

Does the record light come on but nothing records?
Can you pause live TV?
Is you EPG normal or screwed up?
Why do you think your drive needs to be re-married?
Are you getting any error codes and what are they?

info is all around on hosw to do just that, use the search button, search for 510 all in oine guide

I think he said it all when he metions "not married correctly", prolly whole problem.


dishfever....all PVRs, 501, 508, 510, use exactly the same method for marrying the hard drive, it must be done correctly or will not record.

This is the error that displays:
"ERROR 311"
A serious problem has been detected with your hard disk drive,
error code:0412
Please call 1-800-333-Dish(3474)

Remember that this is my first DP501 and I don't have any clue of what to do

All you need to do is find a virgin TSOP, I think p080 will work, and a virgin eeprom. You can find these over at dishjunkie and make sure the build config matches the first two letters of yours.

I was trying to find a better description of how to married my HD but the explanation is too technical for me bacause of the "tech" language that many people use. Sorry to make your life difficult but it was not my intention. Belive me I was searching a lot and reading a lot and "flashing" my DP501 more than 4 times without any success. Anyways Thank you!
