While at a friends house, repairing ;) some 420s and 430s, we had writing errors while flashing, one on a 420 and one on a 430......both were caused by unplugging a receiver being tested....... from the same power strip that the receiver being flashed was plugged into......so a possible reason for flashing failures is electrical noise. So while flashing a IRD, be careful not to cause any electrical disturbances near the receiver being flashed...after erasing, and restarting, the flash proceedure on both the completed no problem.......just a heads up to let others know that writing problems do happen and what you can do to help minimize those problems........
