8psk module and BEV

I have a 6000HD IRD that I am currently using for Charlie. I was wondering if I switch to BEV can I remove the 8psk module and still get BEV HD using the 6000?

Also, what do I need to flash my IRD to set it up for BEV?

You do not need the 8PSK for Bev, just plug in the cable to the sat in, also you need to erase sa30 and change the ird to bev public #s there is a how to somewhere here, can't remember where but do a search on 6000 recievers and you'll find it somewhere.

Thanks for the reply. I pretty found that out in some other research. Now I have an 8psk to play with AND keep my 6000 running.
