well i got 2 3900's and one pvr 501 and was wondering what I need to get back at testing again both 3900's were avrx modded and I have been so busy learning how to help sick people that i have some serious free tv neglections. just some links with info no total spoon feeding I know how it is :)
btw looking for full emulation

you can get a enigma which has mixed reviews, I can't personally say I dont have one but it seems to resemble they way the avr-x worked. Some love it some dont.

-or you can get some unlocked rom 102's and a iso programmer.

-or you can get some locked rom 102's and get a unlocker ANd a iso programmer.

if you dont have a jtag get one. it is the cheapest but most important item

-You could get a maw/mel board and run em with a computer

- you can get a atmega and programmer which I can not comment on either cause I dont have one but seems the ones who got em love them.

quik question i have an old j-tag with that short ass serial cord that caused several eeprom erases and fights with the old lady :) should i get the usb ones or have u tried those yet i have 1 unlocked yellow card but dunno what rom it is haven't messed with real cards since hu dayz lol

see what rev it is, stick it in a ird with NO SAT cable plugged in and press sys info.
I cannot stress enough MAKE SURE NO CABLE IS PLUGGED IN!!!!!
if it is not for the ird you got then you wil have to wait for it to tell you it is the wrong card then pull it out and see if it pops up on tv screen.(the info) rev????
best way is do a reset atr using nagramaster or n2edit ect.

I didn't use the male connector to connect the ribbon cable of my avr-x installation in a 3900. I have a 5 pogo pin connector On my j-tag How can i hard wire this to my receiver? Using my existing ribbon cable that came with the avr-x

rev 103 very simple to open do you have a unlocker? rom 10 is history and there is lots of how too for your avr-x jtage i think it might be in milis download page or i no for a fact its at fileshop
