View Full Version : How to use separate dishes for each satellite?

I currently have the standard BEV HD setup with one dish on my roof. However, I find that I get brutal rain fade and even a slight rainfall causes the satellite to go down.

Will it be better if I get a second dish and pick up each satellite directly? If so how do I set this up?

Alternatively, would it help if I went up to the next biggest dish, and what would that be?

Thanks,

Bigger is better, and the bigger the better.

Using a seperate for each sat would only be a benefit if you can't get a good signal from both on one dish, using individual dishes would allow better individual aiming.

All you would need is a switch. either a DP or SW depending on the lnb type you use.

That makes sense, I do get a decent signal on both satellites 70-80% in good conditions. Since the standard BEV HD dish is oval, what dish do I move up to. All the larger dishes appear to be round?
