Questions on programming a VIP211 [Archive]

I have a 211 that has never been activated. I've been browsing around the site and I've seen in a couple different places saying the receiver had to have been activated at some point. Is it possible to program this 211? If so what do I need to do it. A link to a tutorial or something would be great.

It doesn't have a card behind the door that I can see. I've had it for a couple months and have been trying to decide if I should sell it or reprogram it if possible. I tried searching this site and google about the 211 and haven't really found much of anything.

No, the VIP IRDs are not publicly hacked at this time.

Thanks for the info lizard. Now I just have to decide if I should keep it and wait or sell it.
