Can someone help me out with the Wannabe 6000 guide. I want to convert it from Dish to Bev and I can't seam to locate the guide. I don't see it in the VIP or public files. A PM would be great if you can. Thanks.

just goto www.bellexpress.vu and do the quick ecm fix by erasing the proper sector in the tsop. now be warned, it is gonna be a real bitch to get your card going with public info, I would suggest a romcode subscription and use their private numbers they will supply. 6000's has interleaving tsops that i had zero luck with in gendt08 and the info that is on your dish card is not gonna work for that bev card, there may possibly be a workaround that i do not know about, I did this for a friend some time ago and after a few days of pulling my hair out i finally went with the romcode private info and it worked.

I found the wannabe 6000 guide to be completely useless/unnecessary for me. I've jtagged my 6000 back and forth from D!$h to B3V multiple times without a hitch, *IF* I go into eeprom programming FIRST, powercycle the IRD to set the trap, and THEN go into tsop programming AFTERWARDS.

Crazy1_79, I am going from Dish to Bev. I thought Romcode didn't do Bev.
Anyway I was hoping to use my Jtag adapter with Enigma card once it gets converted to Bev.

Thanks for the advice but if it's useless to you then why not forward it to me so I can have a look.

Because I don't have it anymore. I deleted it as soon as I figured out that I didn't need it.

Hey Fubr, do you think you can update the link on the BFL method or just tell me what to jump?.

Out of curiosity, did you at least try to jtag your 6000 the way I described in post #3 without fiddling around inside the IRD?

he is right, you will never fail by doing the bfl but it is not always needed.
I checked the link when I posted that and it seemed ok but here is another pic.
I will try to fix the other link too it was a diferent pic.
this pic here you solder a jumper wire from the botom of the resistor to the pad that the red circle is touching

That's pretty much what I did but I needed more info than that. The guide was actually helpful. My problem was that I added the wrong build config so I needed the BLF method so I could get back in. I now corrected it and the conversion was successful. Thank you for your help and to Fubr thanks for finding all the stuff I needed. :)
