Hi guys,
I used to have a 4700, a 3100 and a 5800 working perfectly before N2 kicked in. I managed successfully to bring back my 4700 & 3100 to life with ATMega & Wicked on Bell recently but my 5800 is giving me a Hard time.
Originally it was a 508 that I converted to BEV at the time.
Here is what I tried so far to get my 5800 back on track with bev
I started by zeroing my original HDD by using PowerMax.
When I first got my 508 before putting it in the stream, I kept a copy of my virgin tsop and eeprom so What I tried first is that took my original flash 2 and edited it with FlashEdit and changed the BoxKey# and Ird# to Public numbers and generated a Virgin eeprom. I erased Flash 1 3 times, then erase flash 2 3 times, programmed flash 2, and then programmed eeprom. Since that TSOP is Dish and I want to go bell, I tried to put it in the stream with my Wicked for BEV loaded on my at Mega. It didn't work. The receiver was telling me that my card wasn't inserted correctly. I think I know why, its probably because the software on my ATMega is not compatible with the soft on my TSOP. What I did next is I took an old ROM 3 with BEV N1 on it and I changed its IRDS and Box Keys on it to the public one and I sent it back to the stream. That configuration was a no go also, the only thing I was getting is a blank screen. Do I need a virgin ROM3 bin in order to do so ?
Secondly I tried to downloaded a TSOP from the bank. (r0045024458-pvr501-21cb-dcka-10s-p079-u7-bev.rar ) Again, I erased Flash 1 3 times, then erase flash 2 3 times, programmed flash 2, and then programmed eeprom. I put that back in the stream with my ATMega this time but I am now stock at the Acquiring Signal screen. It will not go further. This, I dont understand.
I doubt forcing and update by erasing SA-52 or SA-54 would help. Am I right ?
I know my original TSOP are DCKA, but im not sure what p079 or p063 stand for, I think it stand for the version of TSOP the software. In any case i dont really know what to do next.
This is where I stand right now and Im kind of stuck, any new Ideas would be more than welcome. Any help would be much appreciate.
Many thanks in advance,
