Can anyone out there help identify the attached programmer.

I know this programmer is capable of doing both dish and direct as well as being a bootloader for the old black sunday h card and believe it was manufactured around 2001.

We are trying to update the keys on a dish card, have the dip switches 1 and 6 set to "on" and am getting an error when loading the bin. It does reset the card and we are able to get a valid atr, but when writing the image it "errors"....

We know the cards are good as we can make it happen with another reader/programmer, so we think it is the dip switch settings.

The only ID we can find on the programmer is a "5v - 4 -1".

Anything you know, like dip switch settings for dish, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

With no real data to go on...

I'd assume (not a good thing to do) it should use standard switch settings.
1 and 6 on to program the flash. 2 and 5 on to manipulate the cam. With the current price of plastic, I wouldn't risk trying to work one with an unknown loader from 6 years back. I'ts a sure bet to have 4053's onboard. Shelve it, use newer trusted equipment on current cams.

But, that's just me.....:D
