I understand this receiver is problematic but heres my story and after years of reading learning and playing not to mention learning how to use a pencil tip soldering gun I have finally hit the roadblock and Im turning to the knowledgeable members for their opinion. Heres the things that i did so far:

-PVR 5900 legit sub.
-remarried remanufactured hardrive successfully
-allowed virgin firmware to update successfully
-:mad:lost original TSOP on crashed PC hard disk
-now have PVR 5900 that has 005 nag regardless of any efforts made

I have read all forums on SK's and have written a ton of TSOPS to the point of knowing the line numbers by heart. I have concluded that without the original TSOP I can never get this receiver to act as a subbed unit. (Strangely enough my intention was to only replace the defective hard drive as this is the FOURTH unit I have purchased that had a disk error after 12 - 14 months of service).
My question to the pros is: Is this unit only going to work as a test unit with generated sk's or public #'s or can I unlock the card image to locate the correct subbed SK's and reflash or is that information only on the original TSOP?

Should be able to obtain everything nescessary from the card, should you be able to unlock it.
