811 Ready for the junk pile

My 811 has just started locking up wouldnt down load the program guide and then stated locking up wont even switch off
when I unplug it for a few minutes then plug back in if I can get to the switch test and run test it would be ok had to do it 3 times kept bringing up the wrong switch but now it locks before I can do switch test it has the interface card but i looped it and now it runs on plastic has worked for 6 months upto now

can you verify it is not a dish alignment or switch going to hell problem?

I could probably realign the dish a little better I do lose an lnb when there is a storm But I have a 103-10 attached and have no problems strangely enough when there is a storm I lose 110 on one and 119 on the other go figure when the 811 does lock there is a click from the IRD

The 811 is mpeg2 anyways right ... so why bother is my question. Not flaming ... just curious.

It is also HDTV I can get the tagalog channels with it I have a feeling it is not taking the updates is my problem
