When you say quit, I am assuming it was running fine at one point?

I have seen them become corrupted during a firmware update. You say you can flash ok, that still don't bring it back?

mine will not take a write to the TSOP. You can read it ok but it won't write. It has been an eternity since i even looked at it and its at a buddy's place so I am just goin off what i recall. The j20 or what ever it is that requires a switch for some reason killed the switch to short it. now it seems to not matter if its shorted or not.

at first it lost sat signal, then it would turn on and off every 10 seconds by itself with no video. I tried a different hard drive and reflashed to learn drive, it did not learn. Seems to be dead now but the fan runs and jkeys everything is normal

Sounds like a vid mod gone bad.....or done wrong.

Still could be a flash problem.....would need to know the build of the board and what you flashed it with to make any further suggestions.

dc3a is the build. the last time I used jkeys was about 2 months before this all happened. Maybe the vidmod connections are bad

I don't think so. It was fine and I was running Cemu on it. Then I pulled out the passive interface card and the card got shorted out on my tv. so i grabbed my avr cemu and all was good. But it was touchy. I had trouble one day with it giving the please inster smart card error. I was putting it in and out over and over until it stopped working completely and all it would do was turn on the fans. I jtagged it and was gettin a false reading. my buddy has more experience with these and got it to read the jtag but it won't allow to read or write. he said the switch was screwed on the OJ jumper. bipassed the switch and it reads the tsop, but nothing else. I think if it was ecm fixed and streamed it may work but i don't know if he tried it or not. this is where it has been left since i last looked

Something internally may have failed....these circuits are pretty delicate.

I found that the DC output on the power board has 4 volts output on the 7 volt pin, could this be causing the problem one of the 16 v capacitors has high resistance compared to the other two. Am I on to something here? I might try to replace the cap and see what happens.

I replaced 3 suspect bad caps, now all is working ok!!!:):):)
