I current have a 301.013 setup as an FTA using a legacy dish aimed at 110.
Last night I found a dish sitting by someones trash at the curb. I brought it home and it is a Dishpro 500 with all hardware and only a single dishpro lnb the other lnb is missing. Can I add this dish to my setup and get sat 119? If so what would be required to allow my legacy dish aimed at 110 and this dishpro dish aimed at 119?

To get the 119 sat on this dishpro 500 do I aim it as if it has both lnb's.?

Thanks in advance for your response,

Dishpro and Legacy LNBs are different and cannot be tied directly together.

That is really all the help I can give on that, wait for some FTA guys to step in and you will get better more informed responces.

I would just use the DP500 dish and get a DP500 LNB that way you have less clutter on the roof and if you decided to use the IRD for other testing methods, you won't have any problems.

The single LNB (Legacy) probably didn't work with the DP500 dish thus the reason why it was being trashed.

Let me clarify. The dp500 dish has 1 single dp lnb currently on it (It has a DP sticker on the lnb). I figured if I can get that singlr DP LNB to work for sat 119 I would take that dish to a laundromat I own and then I don't have to miss boxing when I'm out there cleaning up on the weekend (some good boxing coming up). I keep a tv in my office and only pull it out when I'm there after hours working.

Would I just aim it as if it had both LNB's connected (skew, azimuth elevation), of course I will only have a single rg6 cable running from it to the IRD. but theoretically it should work shouldn't it?

The other option is as you suggested get another single DP LNB keep that at home to get both 110 & 119 and take the legacy dish to the laundromat and aim that one at 119.

I am mounting the dish to a post that is fixed on the base from an old rolling chair this way I can roll it and store it in the closet when I'm not using it.

Thanks again

Use the single to get 119 as you describe, no problem.
Aim as a d500 would normally be aimed.

Ok. Now I see what your situation is. Also my bad because I had no idea that there was a single DP LNB made. I thought that all DP500 dishes only utilize dual LNB's.

Thanks for the input. As soon as the rain stops for a day i'm gonna swap out the dishes and setup the dp500 and scout the flea markets for another dp lnb so I can get both sats at the house and take the legacy to the laundromat.
