I have a 510 (DC8D) that won't detect my lnb, it just says DP Feed. I have a dp quad. I've tried different tsops and sometimes I get sat119, on others I get sat110, but it's always just one sat. Even when it updates, it onlt detects one sat. I did another 510 and that one worked fine, but that was a DFXX build so I can't use the same tsops. Any advice?

Is there a way to test that?

Check the voltage coming from the satellite in port. If I can remember correctly it's suppose to pulse from 13 - 18 volts DC.

Sometimes it will say DP feed when it sees lnb, but does not receive good signal strength. Or maybe lnb is bad?? they do fail.

Typically it should be 13.8 VDC, whether this helps or not.......don't know.

I don't think it's my lnb. I have 3 other boxes and they work fine. And I can replace the 510 with another box that will work also. Could it be the tsop I'm using? Haven't tried checking the voltage on the sat input yet.

o.k, I found that it's the tsop that I'm using. Used a DFxx tsop and it detected my lnb but then gave me a "smart card not inserted correctly" error. Tried to change the build config to DCxx on the same tsop and gave me the same error. Can anybody send me a working tsop?

That explains a lot. You cannot simply make a DC8A tsop by renaming a DFxx tsop, won't work.
DC8A is a picky box, not many other builds are fully compatible.

Have you checked the files section?

You can try again later, non-VIP access is latenight.

Thanks skinerd. I keep trying different DCxx tsops, but they only detect one sat. Meaning in the check switch, theres only one column for 119. If I try a DFxx tsop, it'll detect both sats, but it'll give me a smart card error. Any suggestions?

Just a thought. Is the firmware updated? I remember awhile back when the 013's wouldn't pick up 110 due to firmware not being updated.

The "smart card error" is a different problem. Have you ever had this receiver working? If not, then I would say that the card is not married to the receiver.

DC3A will work, I think....but maybe not, I know a DC8A box is picky.

Well the problem's solved thanks to skinerd. It was a tsop issue in case your wondering. thanks everyone.
