I have a 301 that is currently programmed for dish. I want to get it back on Bell using one of the TSOPs from the TSOP bank.

I've noticed a lot of 301.13 301.10, etc. My card was Rom3, does that mean I should be using 301.13?

On a completely different note, I've noticed CEMU always comes with ROM102 and ROM10 but never ROM3. Why?

Thanks for any help,

mtd.

I'm doing emulation. Even though my reciever had rom3 before can I just switch to using 102 or Rom10? Which TSOP should I write to my reciever? I see things like:

I use this for ALL single tsop 301-013 receivers.

301-013 single DAMA w/DAMD eeprom P346 (http://bellexpress.vu/forum/local_links.php?action=jump&id=301&catid=10)

301-10EB-10U-P392-NRSA (http://bellexpress.vu/forum/local_links.php?action=jump&id=156&catid=10)

Will the wrong one kill my reciever? How do I tell which is correct? What's the difference between 301.013 and 301.10EB?

I've done a lot of forum reading but haven't really come across anything that distinguishes what the part after the . in the reciever version means. If it makes a difference my reciever used to be Bev. I put it in the dish stream after bev went down last time. Then it sat in a box for a couple of years.

Thanks,

mtd.

just look on back of receiver it will say ird number and then after that will have three numbers, they can be any of the three following 005, 010, 013 if it says 013 you have a 301.013 if it says 010 you have a 301.010 and if it says 005 you ahve a 301.005 (these are rare) now on another note, a 301.013 WILL NOT WORK on bev. only the 010 i am not sure about the 005 working on bev. I doubt you have that anyway. What rom it had has nothing to do with what receiver it is. just luck of the draw so to speak. The reason you see a rom10 bin in emulation is because emulation uses a rom 10to102 setup to make emu work. You see a ROM.bin in there, that is the rom of a actual 102 that makes it work.

as far as dvd says about posting a cemu, JT and I use another members cemu that we cannot share, also lazybastard (a great cemu compiler) is very adament that only his source his shared we must compile it ourselves. If anyone posts a compiled cemu of his source he has threatened to stop posting. neither of the two above mentioned will work with bev anyway, right now i am using a old cemu for bev. 1.63 or something like that, desubbing is a major issue and i am looking for newer one, if i find a good stable one i will post it in downloads.

As crazy said, 301-013 will not work on Bev. If yours was originally Bev it is likely to be 301-010. If the sticker is missing from the back of your receiver, then just go to the Sys Info page when connected on your TV. If the receiver number starts off with R003 or R004 it is a 010. All the 013s I've seen start with R005. Also look at the Hardware ID on the Sys Info screen (3rd screen). If it starts with an E it is a 010. If it starts with a D it is an 013.

Can also look inside the cover, a -010 will have a CPU with a finned heat sink.

Thanks for all the help guys. I've confirmed that it is a 301-010, which looks like a good thing. I'm going to try and flash it with something from the TSOP bank and then use a ROM10 image for CEMU with it. I'll let you all know how it goes.

All you needed to know was that it used to be a Bev receiver. Bev never used the 301.13's. All Bev 301's are the 301.10. That's why you can convert back and forth between providers.
