Hi all, I have been out of this for a while now and would love to "try" and get back in, but there seemes to be a large gap in my knowledge on the CEMU program.
I have a 2800 that was running Emulation about 9 months to a year ago.
And I used to use the prefab cemu setups. So compiling was a grasp for me but I think I have the makeing thing ok.
This is where reading left me stumped. Where do I find the dish.bin file and the rest uf them to add to the floppy? I do not remember having to make these in the past..
Also what rev flash works on the 2313 chip I have it flashed with a rom102 something from about 9 months ago or so. What Firmware is needed on the 2800? I heard that the last update does not allow Emulation to work.... is that true?
I really need a good hearted soul to lend a hand
OH does this public IRD # still work in emulation? R0038561682 Or did I miss something about that also.
Thank you to anyone willing to lend a hand.

i am watching cemu right now. any dish.bin will work. look around. they were available with early versions of cemu but not recent ones. all the other files will be in the compilation. I know what you mean i was up till daylight for two nights in a row trying to get cemu to work. you flash the chip with a 102_10B_2313_twochip flash available in downloads as well. you put in public numbers which is already in the dish.bin for emu if you want the easy way out. i am doing public right now.

Well that Helps out some, Thanks.
But more Questions are waiting, Like is there a List of all of the Files that are on the CEMU disk? Not including the DOS stuff.
As you can tell I am building this from scratch here.
Someone was nice enough to post a good dish.bin file in the files section so I have that, I have compiled the exe for the program. I "found" an old INI file I think I can make work. I am still looking for the rom10to102 bin file though.
After that I do not know what is left.
OH and second Question Is the IRD # I posted still a valid Number for CEMU or will I have to change it again?
Quote:"all the other files will be in the compilation" This is the comment that has me stuck as I do not remember what all I need.

files on cemu include but may not be limited to:
cemu.exe
rom.bin
rom10.bin
dish.bin
cemu.cnf or cemu.ini
also newer cemus often contain
86.key
96.key
session.txt
reload.key
active.key
goto that sticky that seaboard has posted. it is his new ar cemu. i got it up and running last night, i did have to download djgpp 2.03 that he gives the link to in "how to compile a cemu" sticky as well. scroll down adn you will see the link to get the installer. when you install be sure to select the pmcom for earlier versions of cemu as well. the dish.bin you have is probally already set for public number, you can open that in a gendt08_sk 3.3 and see what the ird and boxkeys need to be in the receiver for that .bin to work. I do not remember them off the top of my head and i am not on my testing computer. hell search the forums for "public numbers" and i bet you find them.

Another Question, the Flash on my EMU is telling me this:
DNASP 102 Rev240 is this current?

OK I am now getting this Error. Smart Card inserted is not currently valid for this reciever.
I re-flashed my EMU to the 10bar.hex so the rev is right now.
BUT My Firmware on the reciever is 854PCAED-N is this correct? or am I needing to re-Flash that also?

did you make sure your ird #'s are public?

yes you need to reflash receiver with public numbers. they are available everywhere. do a search you will find them or open your dish.bin up in gendt08 and it will tell you the number. You will need jkeys and flashedit to accomplish this task with your receiver.
