I have a 301.010 that was originally Bev but currently has Dish on it.

I downloaded 301.010-13EB-EAED-10U-P055.rar and tried to flash it onto my reciever...things have gone wrong. I realise now, that I really didn't need to change what I already had on there.

I've been trying to write back to images I took before I started all this to the reciever and sometimes they appear to write back without any errors but when I restart my reciever I still get nothing. Jkeys reports IRD and box key correctly but reports ModelID and Software if garbage.

I really just want something the screen that will give me a signal read-out so I can point the dish (which is now pointed at nothing). If things work the same way as they did when I moved it over to dish in the first place leaving it unlocked in the stream should recover it?

The big question now is can I repair this without putting it in the stream? If not any suggestions on a reliable way of knowing when I have the dish pointed right?

Also of importance (This is probably why the Model # shows up as garbage) I get the following error when I write Flash 1:

301-3100 Flash memory is not accessible beyond 0x1fff0000 change program length to 0x1f00000.

I've tried saying both yes and no, seem to write either way. Neither seem to get me going.

Flash 1 is slightly smaller than flash 2, you have to be careful what you write.

U22 is flash 1 and U23 is flash 2. Be certain you write the correct bin to the correct flash chip.

I can't say for your image specifically, but in the past I've found some corrupt IRD images in the file section here. Try grabbing a few other images to write and see if any of them work. My jkeys always gives me an accessable beyond address error when writing flash1 of a 3100... Don't remember if it's that error exactly, but as long as you're writing a u22 image to u22, I wouldn't worry about saying yes and moving on - I always do.

like skinerd says, that is copletely normal, just click yes and make sure you write the proper flash to the proper tsop
