Dave sent me a P4 Card about 2 weeks ago to replace my HU Sub card. My stupid dog got the card and chewed the thing to pieces. I called my Electric Company (My DTV Provider) and told them what happened. They then told me that I would have to bring the Receiver and the Old HU card in to the office and they would put a new card in it for me. The only problem is that I have played around with the Sub Hu card with extreme HU. I put the old bin back on the card like it was. Will they be able to tell that I messed with the card? Does Dave have me?

Take a torch and toast the HU....can't read it, can't hang you.

rounddish , I doubt that they will READ your card but just in case ( if you are worried ) do what cancom said , take a small torch and heat the chip up so it can't be read , don't melt it just ruin it ... If they ask , tell em it worked fine at home !

Why admit to still having the HU card at all. I hate to see a good card destroyed. They can still fix it at the shop without the OLD hu Card. Just take them the P4 card that was eaten and claim you were blonde in another life. The Best Defense, is no defense at all, ask any blonde.

you can also just bend the chip a little and crack it and that will ruin it. try to read the card when you are done and you will see that it will no longer read or unloop once the chip has been cracked.

I wonder what 12volts from the car battery would do to a card?

Might be the greatest unlooper on the planet :D

Hi Chief

I don't know how to tell you this but....the belt on your blower is really loose and rotating the wrong direction. Better pull into the pits.

Double Ought gets the nod on this one....
DO NOT give them the HU.... They wouldn't be able to tell anything by reading it, but why give up a perfectly good card.... Just carry the IRD and the chewed up P4.... That's all they need....
Chances are, someone at the power company would just pocket it anyway....

On ch.222 do they not tell you to just throw away the old card anyway? " Sorry,I threw away the card. Is it worth anything"? ;)

They don't give a shit about having your old card. They just want to know that it's history, out of circulation. I've pulled this trick personally on several occasions. My dog's reputation at DTV is legendary. Where do you think my P4 collection came from? :p
Cancom, belts stretch like that on a quarter mile pass...believe it or not, it takes in excess of 1000 horsepower to drive the blower at 8000 RPM on a modern Top Fuel engine. The blower RPM is actually quite higher, as they run a lot of overdrive.
I need to have a serious talk to Goodyear about this problem...it nearly cost me that race:D

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I think I am the only one that will actually " git it " about the belt ! :p

My belt stretches during the 1/4 milers as well....my prob is JC Penny canvas vs Budweiser lo octane and nothing to do with Goodyear....ha..ha

The joke is that Goodyear is testing a new belt on Clay Millicans T/F dragster .. It has a wide spread V desing inside and so far is holding up real good .. Of coarse you also need the new pulleys to match the beld design . He has peddled the car 3, 4, 5 times and it held where another car peddled once and threw the belt ...

This is not a joke , I don't see anything funny about , eh Chief ! :p

For all you roundy-rounders that have no idea what's transpiring here :p
Clay Millican, on a night pass in Dallas, Texas in October. I was standing about 10 feet from the cameraman when he snapped this pic. This car accelerates from 0 to 320 MPH in 4 1/2 seconds. Nothing wrong with his blower belt. :)
