romcode card swap

once a cam is registered with R/c can the cam be used in another receiver?
in other words I want to switch my cam from a 301 to a 4900?

You would probably need to change the R# and Box keys on the recever or change the boxkeys on the card.

right, just saying if i followed the instructions from the rc site, would they supply the box keys like before? I hope i am explaining my self correctly

It is possible to switch a card into any IRD that has the correct BK and IRD number flashed to it.

so if i go through the romcode instructions,,, non married,, a box should pop
up like before with bk and I could go to flash edit and match to the card to the ird. I WANT to go from a 301which was using r/c back to my 4900 with older firmware
untill all this mess get figured out. I have 4900 running strong wide open no problems. maybe a few key changes now and then thats it.
so I SHOULD BE ABLE TO MOVE MY 103 AROUND TO OTHER RECEIVERS PROVIDING INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOLLOWED sorry for the caps wasnt looking.
but romcode is gonna have to let me connect to it server.
