5 SC Men charged with issuing illegal satellite cards
Five area men have been charged in federal court with participating in the illegal issuing of satellite television access cards.
The men were Robert Benjamin Bissett III, 21, Robert Benjamin Bissett Sr., 44, and Thomas Wayne McNeil, 55, of Myrtle Beach and Stephen Michael Emmen, 26, and John Mills, 25, both of Surfside Beach.
They were charged with one count each of illegal manufacturing, assembling, modifying, selling and distributing of satellite television access cards from June 2001 to December 2002.
The maximum penalty they face is a $500,000 fine and/or imprisonment up to 5 years.
The case was investigated by U.S. Secret Service agents.
