Boxkeys.....???

If you have a married card/receiver, do me a favor and look at the boxkeys on the card then look at boxkeys in receiver flash.......mines don't match, but yet work perfectly. This pertains to SK receivers. I checked several sets, NONE match boxkeys, but still work.......

I made a receiver flash from a card read, and the boxkeys of course match and work, but a real married set don't match.........got me confused....

I don't think it has anything to do with that.

But it counters everything I have ever done with card programming, ie, numbers gotta match.

Interesting. Pretty sure mine match with the one set I just worked with. Course, I don't read the entire string most of the time. Usually just glance at the first few bytes to make sure I am working with the right info. I'll double check this afternoon some time.

If I remember right.....

I believe the flash keeps your BKs in hex..

If you convert them, they do match..

I'm going to look at the box I just got today and check cam vs. IRD bk's. Box keys are always in hex aren't they? It was desubbed just yesterday.

Are these 013 single tsops? Seems like the 013's that ive seen dont match. had to use whats on cam. never could figure it out. thought it was just me

I have some married sets, they don't match boxkeys..

I made a married set from a card read.....boxkeys match..

Both cases work fine.

The desup from yesterday I just checked has different box keys on tsop and rom. Can't find even the first three byte sequence of the box keys from the tsop on the rom image anywhere. (using hexedit to check rom image) Weird. 301.13 single tsop.

Me and skinerd were discussing this the other night. I told him i had this happen back when 105 was all we could open adn the only rev there was!. i always thought it was a bad read from tsop in jkeys and never thought much about it. I do however have another married ex sub pair I could confirm on, just need to jtag the 510, never did it cuz i didn't need too
