Hey I just got 3500.00 cashiers check in the mail and letter says all I have to do is deposit it and wire 2900.00 to Canada for taxes. They will then send me the rest of sweepstakes winnings (120,000) can you believe my luck ??

God I hope you are joking......this is one of the bigger scams going right now.

If you can handle the contact with the law easily, turn it over to them!

Yeah I'm joking. Turned it over to Chase Corp.security. It is a real check, just no funds to cover it. I have seen a lot of shit scams in the mail, but this one was the best to date. Thought I should make a post to let others know. It did not take you long to set me right though. Thanks Lefty

I "won" 850,000 British Pounds, and all I gotta do is send a check or payapl US$250.00 to claim it.
SO I offered the lady that sent the email 50,000, if she would cover the $250, said she didn't have money. Told her to get some friends and scrape it together, send me the 850,000..........after several email exchanges, told her to put up or fuck off.

I wonder how many dumbass people they get to actually send $250?

The lady at my bank told me that another bank customer deposited an identical check the day before I showed them mine. Lady at post office said an old man did three at once and lost almost 9,000.00 , they say there's a sucker born every minute. I think there are two crooks born for every sucker nowadays.:mad:

The bitch running this scam called me today to see if I had sent the moneygram. I told her yes and strung her along for a few minutes, like I was a big fish on the hook. She wanted to know the confirmation # of moneygram. I told her my wife had it in her purse and was not home now. She seemed really pleased to hear that. I had been asking here about the guys name on the letter and why I could not talk to him. She told me his wife was having a baby today, then I let loose on her and told her it was a shame the baby would not have a father around. She seemed puzzled and wanted to know why. I told her that the motherfucker would be in jail when they caught him and hoped they put her ass under the jail ! Also said "I didn't send you any money you stupid bitch". That pissed her off and she called me a fool. Not me, not today !

YOu guys wouldn't believe how many people fall for this. My mother is CEO of a credit union and recently had a older couple fall for exact scam. They never mentioned what they were doing till it was too late and they lost the money. Have to feel sorry for older people who still think people are honest. It is a sad thing really.
