i have tried loadigg a pansat 2500a with x-85bl_070812_294_api have also tried loading factory bin here is what i get updater 1.4.0.0 write failed---uploader v3.32 name does not correct---updater 1.3a write failed

It sounds like you have a null update cable insted of a strait thru update cable. Make shure your com port is set right on the loader part. That bin is no more good any way. Look into the convertion files you can use your regulare update cable for it now no J tag needed. 2500 to 2700.

i found 2 files jvvh2_203_im and 2500a_040730_224_api tried loading with updater 1.4.0.0 [write failed] i am using the cable sent with viewsat receiver. downloaded to viewsat today so sure cable is good.dont know if it makes a difference but this box has not been programed in about a year
