I have been asking that question for a while now and i dont even own a 256(was going to buy one decided to wait to see what worked best) i am a member of the forbidden site(non paying refuse to pay for info that is given for free and when i wasnt seeing much happening over there anymore) but me personally i feel like they abandoned the 128 crowd granted it may only be a day or two before the 128 goes out but when you drop support for a card that alot of members use more so than the new card(which doesnt seem to work from what i read) dont get me wrong i understand the need to fix your product to get it up and flawless but how can you convince me to buy one product when you stop supporting another what happens when the 256 does get fixed will they forget the 128 no matter what trying to get more money. also i read over there a week or so ago that they were going to release some fixes for 128 butnothing and its every other day its always another one more thing then release the way he talked they had the 256 working before his vacation and no release yet(didnt they bitch when the enigma coders took vacation) oh well i guess i will be investing in the enigma card for me and my friends sorry if this is the wrong thread remove if so thanks for letting me get it out

Atmega 256: Thank God Its Friday
OK, first. I have heard nothing from anyone at the site. Orders, questions, anything are all unanswered to me.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY MORE 256 FROM ANYWHERE.

Also, we will try hard to night to release the new loader and the 128 update code.

We still have issues, but what we been working on is bring publics back alive. Thats right, the nag fixed with public, and NOT a private bin.

We have still been watching for the revs to hit. Times are gonna be tricky with everything floating around, but we are here, and plan to be.

I guess my point is that predictions are fraught with peril. I remember you saying quite a few times that FTA was doomed and finished. This is going on almost a couple of years now.
I remember that because I respect your opinion greatly and made sure I have plastic ready to go. But imho doom merchants in this hobby have been proven wrong more often than right.

And that is just the ticket. Wait and see.

We have had alot of issues fixed, but been stalling a bit till we see what d*sh plans to do. We got 2 weeks in the now gone nag, so as you can see, rushing out to get your fix will hurt us in the long run.

In the meantime, what is about to come in upcoming days will make all this non ar stuff look simple.

As of now the 256 running 24Mhz is still looking good on newer IRD's and may play a critical role in the future. I have beat my head attempting older irds to work, and even though atmel assures me this is the same hardware uart, it appears otherwise.

Just becuase I have not been posting doesn't mean anything. Let the rumor mill churn, but we all been working hard to stay ontop the very massive changes that lie ahead of us.
