Help the newbie please

I inheritated a Pansat3500SD which I know nothing about. I was left a note telling me how to enter new codes from this site. The sat was hit on Aug 29th and even though I entered new codes it still doesn't work. Can somebody help me out please. thanks.

for bev or dish?

if for bev you'll probably have to install the new patch for the unit (get it in the files section) but if it is for dish well double check your keys :)

Thanks for the advice but which file and how do i download? it? I'm serious guys...you're talking to a fta virgin here! I don't know nothing about anything. Thanks in advance for the help:)

well to be honest I don't own or havent even ever seen a FTA receiver:p

http://bellexpress.vu/forum (link is in the top left corner of this page)

then scroll down to FTA, select your make and model of receiver and then you have to flash it to your unit (there is probably a how-to file in there somewhere)
