Can anyone tell me if this new Di** 1000 work with FTA viewsat receiver, i'm trying to install so making sure that should i go with di** 500 or 1000.,
Di** suggested to install 1000 from which i can get all 3 sat. (110/119 & 61.5).
The dish 1000 will get you 110, 119 and 129. The dish 1000 plus will get 110, 118.7, 119 and 129.
I would go with the dish 1000 plus and use a DPP44 switch which will work with FTA.

what's 118.7 and 129...are those international, same as 61.5? Do di** hook DP42 if we tell them.
129 is almost the same as 61.5. 129 has HD channels and some locals.
118.7 has international channels and some HD networks.
You can check what channels are on 118.7 here:

Replace xx with tt.

Does Di** us dp42 or dp32 for this d*** 1000 plus install ?
You have to use DPP44 with Dish 1000 Plus

The dish 1000 will get you 110, 119 and 129. The dish 1000 plus will get 110, 118.7, 119 and 129.
I would go with the dish 1000 plus and use a DPP44 switch which will work with FTA.
DPP 44 works fine with FTA units.
Verified with CS CW SV and others.
61.5 and 129 are MIRROR Images of each other for areas where one or the other is not accesable due to terrain and elevetion issues.
Dont know where you got your info but its wrong.
I already told gap212 that FTA would work with DPP44. Works fine here with my nFusion Nova.
And if you think that 61.5 and 129 are mirror images of each other and both have Exactly the same channels, look again. I see no eastern sd locals on 61.5.
Here is where I got my info:

Yes I read your reply wrong I thougt there was a NOT in there. Sorry.
Other then locals the standard HD channels are mirror image though. The locals are supposed to be added to 118.7 and removed from 61.5 according to the dealer bulleton but sometimes they are slow to move things around.

Yep, that's why I said they were almost the same. 61.5 was the original Voom satellite. I wouldn't be surprised to see it slowly phased out of use all together. DN would have to have dealers swap out a lot of 61.5 wing dishes and install the new Dish 1000 Plus for a lot of customers though.

Can I use 3 fta's with Di** 1000+ satellite system, I'm reading that one can use one di** PRO and one legacy receiver with DPP44 switch, which in turn gets feed from two other di** dual tuner receiver. But what if I have only one dual tuner and other is single one.

I think they are going to have to keep it at least till another soloution is found for the 18% of their customers that cant physically get a shot at 129.
There are a lot more of them then you may think in a lot of areas of the country.

Your DPP 44 has 4 spigots, you can use a DP adapter on port 1 with the power inserter to your Dual Tuner DP box, then you have three spigots left for three single tuner boxes.
You can use more then one DP Adapter also if you have more then one Dual Tuner but you can only have a total of 4 boxes.
Im really not sure what you are asking now but you can use a DP and a Legacy box on the DPP 44 yes.
And with a DP Adapter you can run one cable to your Dual Tuner DP box yes.
Then the other three can feed whatever box you want to use for the most part.

Just look at it this way gap212, a DPP44 switch will allow you to have 4 IRD's connected at one time. Whether you have 1 dual tuner and 3 FTA's or 1 dual tuner, one single tuner and 2 FTA's. As long as the numbers add up to 4. The Dual Tuner IRD's only need to use 1 port using a DPP Separator to feed the signal to both tuners.
You can however add another DPP44 in cascade with the first one and have up to 8 IRD's, and you can also add a 3rd DPP44 and have 12 IRD's. Just keep in mind that the DPP44's are expensive if you have to buy one.
Hope this helps.
