The dlock you have...does it have the DQ7 wire as this is needed to get away from the nag you are recieving with dish.
The dlock4 will get away from this problem.

If there is no hole on the lock with DQ7 beside it then this is no good to you for dish...you'll need to buy the dlock4.

Opening your ird is not going to effect your lock!
